No Where to Go

I don't wanna be seemed as a culture critic here, so don't ever get me wrong. I'm just saying what I've been thinking for a while, aight? then here I start.

Without a doubt, underground culture in Korea has long been controlled by the capitalism and we might as well admit that we still don't have a firm, furtile cultural ground for it to blossom. In the same vein, Handful of "street"brands pop out and disappear as if they've never existed every year and among them, a couple success scraping their cuts selling T-shirts with zero creativity and huge margins - a total flash in the pan as well as a highway robbery.

I haven't gone thru any market research but it might be safe to assume that teens are the main target/consumer of Korean domestic street wear. The young'ns just follow the trends forged by the market dominators with financial power because - the money - is the one makes broad promotions and distributions possible. They just don't need or have veritable visions. It's all about money. Teens, the present consumers and prospective creators of the underground culture, have been losing their power to think and the right to enjoy the culture with discretion. That's a shame.
