cuties residing in Seoul Forest
I woke up pretty early to meet Kirin today for we were supposed to have a mini-picnic in Seoul Forest located in the eastside of the city. When I looked up the sky through the window of my room before leaving, it was already foggy and it felt like it was raining invisibly(you know, when it's real humid you can feel the hydrate with your skin... it gets sticky!)
Anyway, I met Kirin at Jamsil Stn. waiting for me with some fried chicken tenders and beers. We swiftly hopped into the subway which was just arriving. With good AC, we could kinda relax in there even though we couldn't get seats. Finally, we arrived at today's destination, Tuksom. The sign on the post standing on the sidewalk said "780m to the forest." It was still stiky but we are young enough to walk that distance. 2-3 mins after we started walking and talking about the weather, it really began raining. WOW. We were half way on the park. The comparatively gentle rain was turning to a shower. We were waiting under a pent roof until the rain got lighter. Then, we decided to go back to the station. We were totally sweaty, the skin feels sticky and my face was glowing with oil.(eeyuck!)
We were tired and didn't want to use our brains anymore despite that we barely did anything. We just wanted to cool off and put something into stomach. So we chose to have the picnic in the subway station. We sat on a bench and started to open what we brought - chicken tenders, french fries and Kimbop. People kept giving glances to us pigging out as they passed by. I felt a little ashamed for the first few minutes but we soon got accustomed to it. We enjoyed our meal at the station and promised to visit an aquarium as a compensation for the picnic.
Power of nature.
